It all started one day when Elaine was at home from work and a little under the weather. Determined to not 'waste' her time lying on the couch she went out and bought her first canvas and set of acrylic paints. She then started painting her first masterpiece which was the beautiful color, RED!
Years have gone by and the self-taught artist is now busy producing artwork that exudes the colourful and creative character that she is. She paints contemporary and abstract pieces on a variety of canvas sizes and uses many different materials to add texture and interest to each piece. Her inspiration comes from the world around her and is strongly influenced by interior design and fashion.
Elaine's artwork is available for viewing through a wide variety of venues, such as businesses, galleries and art shows around Winnipeg. Please view Showings for details of current and upcoming opportunities. Private viewings can also be arranged in her home studio.

Brenda Gale Warner was born and raised in Hamilton Ontario, and from there ventured to Toronto where she lived for thirty years before moving to Winnipeg. In Toronto she was an active docent with the AGO in the Elementary Education Department.
Although she has painted for thirty years, she has recently taken up a love for photography. The "wide open space" in and around Winnipeg has given her a whole new perspective. Brenda currently has 12 acrylic paintings and 6 framed photographs on display and for sale at Studios in the Exchange.

In Karen's own words ...
"As an artist living in rural Manitoba I find that the prairie landscape emanates an aura of power deeply affecting and affected by the people that populate it. Evidence of the struggle for survival, of both humanity and nature, shows in sites where both converge. Places characterized by humanity and nature engrossed in mutual destruction evidence discord. In my paintings I hope to do justice to this struggle, and capture the tumult of natural and urban landscapes involved in the process of destruction and reclamation."
Karen lives in just outside the hamlet of Ste. Genevieve, MB but maintains a studio in Winnipeg. Her work has been exhibited locally in many group shows and many of her works are in private and corporate collections in Winnipeg.

Craig was also proud to represent Manitoba at the Culinary Olympics in 2000, competeing and winning a bronze medal in the individual category. Craig’s passion and dedication will shine through in everything he does and he can do it for you as well!
Donna Daman created the Life Expansion series to work with participants to define goals and desires and use their awakening consciousness to overcome obstacles and challenges that have so far prevented the realization of those goals.
